True productivity isn’t about checking everything off your to-do list… For the LONGEST time, I measured my days by how much I accomplished. Laundry folded? Check. Dinner made? Check. Teen driving practice? Check.
But at the end of those “productive” days, I’d collapse into bed feeling empty. Something was missing, and deep down, I knew exactly what it was.
We live in a world that celebrates hustle. Get more done. Be more efficient. Maximize every minute.
But what if I told you that true productivity isn’t about getting the most done in a day?
True productivity is about stewarding your gifts, talents, time, and energy for the good of others and the glory of God.
And here’s the truth that changed everything for me: spending time with Jesus isn’t another checkbox on your to-do list – it’s the very foundation that makes everything else meaningful.
Maybe you can relate to this cycle:
That guilt? It doesn’t come from Jesus. He’s not standing over you with a clipboard, marking your attendance.
Instead of perfect attendance, consistency looked like coming back again and again, even after you’ve missed days or weeks?
What if it looked like giving Jesus your actual life – not some perfect morning routine that doesn’t fit your season?
I’ve found that consistency isn’t about perfection. It’s about persistence. It’s about relationship.
Do you know what transformed my relationship with Jesus? Releasing the idea that quiet time had to look a certain way.
Some days, it’s 15 minutes with my coffee or tea before our homeschool day starts. Some days, it’s listening to Scripture while folding laundry. Other days, it’s writing a prayer in my planner along with a scripture verse while reviewing my day.
Jesus doesn’t want your performance. He wants YOU – exactly as you are, in the middle of your beautiful, messy, busy life.
