Say When Sea Glass

Have you ever heard of these amazing gems called sea glass? My friend Bianca creates beautiful art and jewelry out of them. Her business, Say When Sea Glass, was established four years ago. I personally had never heard of these gorgeous castaway gems. And now I have become fascinated with them and I am so excited to share this sweet little business with you all.

All About Sea Glass

You can find sea glass on the coastline of rocky beaches. Sea glass takes 20 to 40 years to develop its distinctive character and shape. Every piece is unique and has its own story. The ocean recycles the glass through the tossing of the waves, rocks, and sand. Over time the glass gets smooth and takes on a frosted look. The more frequent colors are blue, brown, clear, and green. These colors tend to come from bottles of regular sodas and juices. The more rare colors are black, red, yellow, orange, and turquoise.

The Beauty of Art

Finding these treasures has always been a delight for Bianca and brings her great joy. As time went by, Bianca became inspired. And she decided to create a small business, turning these gems into something magnificent. She often does pop-ups and enjoys meeting new people. Bianca’s advice for other small business owners is to step out of your comfort zone and go for it! And that throughout it all, she is continually is learning and growing. It’s clear to see that Bianca is passionate about creating art. So much so, that she has new projects coming soon. But her latest collection is art made out of vintage silverware. Bianca’s talent is a unique work of art, and I love her creativity!

Bianca, thank you for giving me an inside look at your business and sharing your God-given talent with the world. The beauty you create with these lovely gems is truly special. I love how you compared the process of sea glass to life. Because it really is through the wave tossing and smoothing out, that God is shaping us. He transforms our brokenness into a one-of-a-kind beautiful story.
