Earthen Vessels

Meet Dana. A married mom of two who took a leap of faith during Covid, and started a jewelry business called Earthen Vessels. God called Dana and her family to move to Texas from California at the end of June 2021. She is self-taught and got the name for her business from 2 Corinthians 4:7, But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. What a great reminder for us all that we need God!

And it was with God that Dana was able to find her gift. Originally Dana created Earthen Vessels to be a devotional book and never pictured making jewelry. It was when Dana saw her friends wearing clay earrings that she thought she could make them. She shared her interest with her cousin, who was also starting up a small business. Her cousin encouraged her to go for it. And as Dana made the earrings, people bought them. She continued to create, and people continued to buy.

As she was on the journey of making jewelry, she began to question, if this was where God really wanted her. Through lots of prayers, she kept moving forward. And as time went on Dana, soon realized that she needed help running her business. Her gift is creating beautiful, handcrafted jewelry, and she needed help with marketing. So she reached out to her friend of five years, Destiny, who has been her #1 supporter. Destiny is gifted with a creative vision and is also a married mom of two. Destiny said her favorite part of the business is being able to work alongside her best friend and helping her dream come to life, all while having fun! With them both being in the same life stages, they came together to create something quite beautiful.

Dana and Destiny both believe that this was all given to them by the Lord. Their mission is to be a light within social media and fashion. To give God glory and make an impact on women. This jewelry is handcrafted to bless others. Dana said that one of her favorite parts of making the clay earrings is sanding down the imperfections because every time she does it, she is reminded of God’s never-ending grace and love. She mentioned that it’s through the trials and tough times that God purifies and rids us of all our imperfections and makes us into His beautiful masterpieces.
